When Covid-19 hit the world in 2020, most if not all events and gatherings had to either be cancelled or postponed. For discriminated groups, like LGBT+ people, this was even a bigger challenge as that provided a space for safety and community. At All Out we saw this as a chance to launch a global online Pride event, focusing on LGBT+ activist and their work during the pandemic.
We put together 13 online events running during the months of June and July, and provided a much needed space for discussion and solidarity in those trying times.
Scope:
• Event Identity
• Event Website
• Promotion and Distribution
• Live event graphics
To create the logo, the mais idea was to deconstruct the famous Pride Flag that have all the 6 stripes clearly divided in a rectangle. Since the concept of the event is to fight the current distancing and adapt to a new reality, the logo took the famous colours and distributed them through a series of gradients to represent the closeness and put those through six hexagons.
We launched a full social media plan to promote the event on our channels, expanding the identity to include images and all the elements that the sessions needed.
Facebook events / Twitter
Instagram / Stories posts
Creating the website for the event proved to be quite a challenge, as the guest, the dates shifted constantly. At the end, we were able to put it together and follow the rainbow concept, as each session would have its own color and no color would follow the other directly. You can check the live website here.
